Summary

Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Pricing Strategy and Residual Management, and in coordination with the product managers, this role is responsible for assisting with setting the pricing strategy for future Kia products.  This entails rigorous analysis of Kia’s performance in the context of industry trends to develop competitive MSRP positioning of future Kia models while balancing profitability and volume requirements.

This role will also support residual value functions within KMA, reporting on Kia’s residual value performance, supporting consulting projects with vendors, and analyzing residual impact of product packaging/pricing scenarios.

Priority 1st - 30%

Support development of MSRP positioning proposals for future Kia products

Priority 2nd - 30%

Report on residual value performance and perform ad hoc analysis of residual impact of product packaging/pricing scenarios

Priority 3rd - 20%

Track and analyze price/value competitiveness of all future Kia products throughout development

Priority 4th - 20%

Support consulting projects with residual value organizations

 

Education/Certification
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience required
Overall Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience in automotive pricing, product planning, marketing research, engineering or related field required
Directly Related Experience

Automotive enthusiast with pricing or planning experience preferred

Analysis of large quantities of complex data

Industry, consumer and technical analysis

Development of presentation materials
 
Other Requirements:

  • Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally.
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays.
