  • Under direct supervision of Sr. Manager, Product Quality KMMG & KMM, participate in Telluride 150 day EWR program, conduct Initial Quality Survey (IQS) data analysis, and test/assess warranty parts. Work closely with experienced Service Engineers on a variety of projects, including on-vehicle testing and evaluations to learn more about Product Quality and other related Service departments.

Major Responsibilities

Participate in Telluride 150 day EWR program that includes daily communications with Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia plant.



Conduct warranty and Initial Quality Survey (IQS) data analysis to report back concerns to Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia plant and Kia Motors Corporation to improve overall vehicle quality.



Conduct warranty parts testing to determine root cause countermeasure assessments.



Assist in other quality-related activities as assigned.



  • In progress of Bachelor’s degree
  • Focus in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering program required

Overall Experience

  • Prior internship experience a plus
  • Mechanical or electrical design, fabrication, and testing experience a plus

Directly Related Experience

  • Automotive knowledge or experience a plus 
  • A valid driver's license and safe driving record is required


PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point

Ability to use common engineering measurement tools including dial indicator, micrometer, calipers, height gage, digital volt ohm meter and oscilloscope

Familiar with common service garage equipment including vehicle lift, alignment rack, A/C charging station, wheel balance machine, etc.
