The Forward Model Product Quality Group supports the development of new vehicles and operates to strengthen the Kia brand by closing the gap between perceived vs. actual quality of our vehicles. To support these objectives, the KMA Quality Department requires an Engineer with strong vehicle evaluation skills and a voice of the North American customer. The purpose of this position is to support development of North American customer quality improvements for critical attributes.  This position will also aide in targeting high impact areas where Kia has significant opportunity to close competitive gap and move to leadership position.

Major Responsibilities


Major Responsibility



Conduct/Support testing on new models



Support launch process for new platforms and ensure transition to SE



Correlate KIA DNA specific requirements to customer perception and set/develop  measureable targets



Documentation Review



Training / Administration responsibilities



  • Minimum BS Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive development

Overall Experience

  • Strong working knowledge of automobiles with ability to perform hands-on diagnostic assessments along with automotive system mechanical and electrical work     

Directly Related Experience

  • Desired experience in vehicle instrumentation and trouble shooting


Excellent communication skills required (written and oral)

PC skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
