Summary

The Finance role will support all aspects of financial and business related analysis, including serving as the subject matter expert on the company’s purchasing policies and procedures.  The person will actively work with business units on creating awareness as to business issues and opportunities.

Major Responsibilities

Priority 1st - 40%

Collect and analyze data for financial and business-related reviews to determine contract compliance and program performance

Priority 2nd - 20%

Analyze budgets vs purchasing commitments and contribute in developing the financial forecast

Priority 3rd - 20%

Manage the review of final billing expenses

Priority 4th - 10%

Prepare financial performance reports for management

Priority 5th - 10%

Manage the purchase order process

 

Education/Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA or advanced degree in Finance preferred
  • CPA preferred
Overall Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in finance, financial analysis or accounting
  • 5+ years of applicable leadership/management experience
Directly Related Experience
  • Demonstrated success in directing the work of others and experience in conducting complex organizational, financial, and/or compliance audits.
  • Knowledge of purchasing practices, principles, methods, and procedures.
Skills
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, & IFRS.
Accounting professional in all aspects of accounting, system reviews and financial reporting and analysis for corporations.
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills required (written and oral).
Advanced capabilities in Excel, Word, and Access
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite – Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint
