Job Description


Under the direction of the Manager, Incentive Planning this position will be responsible for:

  • Incentive-related activity including planning, analysis, communication, residual value monitoring and analysis, budget coordination, monitoring competitive activities, and measuring the effectiveness of  Kia marketing programs.
  • Coordination with Kia Motors Finance (KMF) for lease and loan subvention programs.
  • Interfacing with Product Planning to understand new model content, packaging and pricing, and the impact on incentives.


  • Monitor, analyze and report on competitor incentives.  Measure the competitiveness and effectiveness of KMA’s incentive programs.  Manage monthly and annual incentive budgets to create competitive incentive programs to support retail sales objectives by making improvements to existing programs by introducing new programs.  Communicate programs to Dealers, Regions and Marketing in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Track sales performance in conjunction with program design and recommend corrective action as needed.  Partner with KMA Regions, Marketing, AmeriCredit and Field Operations for the design, development and deployment of incentives.
  • Manage the working relationship between KMA and KMF including negotiations for settlement rates, residual values and other variables involved in delivering competitive financing offers to consumers. Provide management reports on KMF penetration.
  • Prepare annual business plan of all incentives and contests by month, series and model year.  Analyze and report actual incentive spending  compared with business plan and program assumptions.  
  • Provide support to departmental Manager, Director and Vice President in planned and ad-hoc projects and presentations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred
Overall Related Experience:
  • Minimum of ten (7) years in the automotive industry, retail and or corporate.
Directly Related Experience:
  • A combination of  5+ years marketing, incentive planning, sales planning, product pricing, production planning, distribution.
Position Requirements:
  • Occasional travel may be required domestically and/or internationally
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills.
  • Advanced organizational and planning skills.
  • Advanced quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Advanced PC skills in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint.)
  • ERP query skills such as SAP.
  • Strong project management skills.
