Summary

Under the direction of the Manager, Sales Planning & Analysis, this position will be responsible for:

  • Managing sales forecasting, analysis & reporting including securing business intelligence resources and interfacing with Distribution.
  • In support of sales forecasting, project retail industry and segment volume by region and month using shared sales database for actuals and proprietary model for seasonal, industry, and selling day adjustments.
  • Creating timely and relevant sales reports and analysis tools to provide understanding of KMA sales performance by model, series and market. 
  • Setting Dealer Sales Objectives that are used to determine dealer cash earnings.
  • Interfacing with Product Planning to make sure both groups understand the sales impact of new model content, packaging and pricing.

Manage KMA sales forecasting processes to provide accurate and timely estimates of current month sales and current year share/sales by month for each model and region. Liaison with Distribution to understand availability and to provide recommendations for production orders including trim mix.

Manage development and distribution to Regions and KMA Management of sales reports and analysis tools for understanding sales performance by model at the National, Regional, Market and Dealer level.  Manage business intelligence tools and data services to ensure we have the best information to support sales forecasting and analysis.

Develop and distribute Dealer BOP sales objectives, which determine dealer cash earnings.  This includes quarterly targets, monthly availability adjustments, other special circumstance adjustments, and initial BOP objectives for newly appointed dealers.

Act as liaison with Product Planning to ensure that product changes and launches are factored into sales forecasts and conversely that Product Planners understand current sales performance.  Recommend an annual business plan for sales by month and model.  Liaison with KMA Management to arrive at a final sales plan that also incorporates planned production supply.

Provide support to departmental Manager, Director and Vice President in planned and ad-hoc projects and presentations.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree preferred

Overall Experience

Minimum of seven (7) years in the automotive industry, retail and or corporate.

Directly Related Experience

A combination of  5+ years marketing, incentive planning, sales planning, product pricing, production planning, distribution.

Skills

Excellent communication skills required (written and oral)
