Job Description

SUMMARY
 
This position is responsible for the accurate review and authorization of dealer warranty claims to ensure compliance with Kia Motors America, Inc (KMA) Service Policy & Procedure and/or as directed by management.  This position directly provides dealer support and direction to dealers with warranty repairs that impact Kia customers in addition to alerting management of any issues with KMA Service policy that can negatively impact dealers or customers.
 
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

  • Timely & accurate dealer warranty claims review/adjustment in accordance with KMA Service Policy & Procedures, Warranty Claims Manual procedures and general service operations procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warranty claim submission policy & procedure and/or service repair procedures to reduce excessive or unnecessary warranty expense.
  • Special project support as needed or required to achieve department objectives or goals (i.e., dealer training, field training, dealer warranty help desk support, dealer labor rate reviews, parts mark-up requests, etc.)
 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Education:
  • BS Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
 
Overall Related Experience:
  • A basic knowledge of automotive systems, component operation and repair is highly desired.
  • Dealership warranty operations knowledge including warranty processing.
  • Dealer experience in warranty claims processing.
 
Directly Related Experience: 
  • 2-5 in an automotive manufacturer/distributor environment.
  • Hotline/Call Center experience with dealership personnel.
           
SKILLS
  • Customer service skill (Phone preferable)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills are required.
  • Well-organized, with ability to complete projects as assigned with limited supervision
  • Minimum 50+ wpm typing skills
