Job Description

This role reports directly to the VP, Marketing Communications.  The Brand Marketing Director will oversee product launch and sustainment activities of Tier1 Marketing in general market and multicultural marketing, to lead brand strategy and brand analytics/metrics, and to supervise Tier 1 media (Broadcast/Digital/Print//OOH), Tier 1 Advertising, brand CRM activities, brand partnerships, experiential events and shows.  This role is to also oversee all budgets of brand marketing, retail marketing/website/analytics, corporate communications & social media departments.   The Brand Marketing Director is to manage marketing plans to consumers and dealers, per the defined annual, near term, and long term Business Plan.  This role directly oversees Media//Brand Strategy/Budgets, Advertising, CRM and Experiential / Partnerships.

  • Lead Media strategy and executions in broadcast, digital, print, OOH and Lead Advertising, CRM, Experiential/Partnerships operations and develop a digital enabled consumer journey strategy connecting key online and offline touchpoints for a seamless vehicle shopping and ownership experience (digital based media, digital channels, platforms and shopping / loyalty interactions).  
  • Assist VP, Marketing with development of annual, near term, and long term business and marketing plans to achieve objectives.
  • Conduct marketing research and manage brand strategy and metrics that continue to refine overall brand communication strategy direction, brand architecture and voice, and position each product in a disruptive marketing plan for each nameplate target demographics and under the overall brand umbrella.
  • Responsible for budgets of overall brand marketing, retail marketing/website and corporate communications & social media.
  • Represents & integrates KMA Marketing within internal, corporate operation (Sales, Retail Marketing, Corporate Communications and Customer Experience Task Force) and external partners and seeks to develop collaborative relationships and processes designed to increase marketing efficiencies / effectiveness.  

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field desired or equivalent work experience required
  • MBA Preferred
Overall Related Experience:
  • 15+ years marketing experience required, including media strategy and management, CRM strategy, creative and campaign development strategy, and experiential/marketing partnerships strategy and execution
  • 10+ years of marketing management experience either at an agency or corporate environment required; automotive OEM experience preferred
Directly Related Experience:
  • 10+ years’ experience in the automotive or related field is highly desired      
  • High level of proficiency in verbal, written and electronic communications
  • Self-starter with strong leadership skills; ability to perform without a lot of direction
  • Problem identification, solving and decision-making skills
  • Accomplished interpersonal skills
  • Public speaking experience desired
  • Adept at working with teams to deliver results via employee engagement
