Job Description

SUMMARY 

This position is responsible for collaborating in the development of KMA’s service strategy and identity and for ensuring that KMA’s service strategy and identity are effectively implemented by KMA’s regions and field managers and Kia dealers to achieve KMA’s objectives relative to customer satisfaction, service retention, commercial dealer operations, parts & accessory sales, dealer and KMA profitability, customer repurchase loyalty, warranty excess cost control and dealer employee training.  They must balance focus current marketplace needs with an outlook toward future industry trends. The position is responsible for service strategy, planning and innovation.
 
They collaborate with other Service Division department heads to develop strategies, tactical launch plans, performance analysis, and improvement action plans (when necessary) to ensure achievement of company goals.  They are responsible for developing key messaging for communication of Service Division priorities, accomplishments and further actions needed to KMC, field and dealers using various communication methods and in various forums.
 
This position is the lead within the Service Division for providing oversight and direction to the field and dealers relative to all aspects of service and parts operations.  They work in coordination with the regional management teams to assure the effective implementation of corporate programs and attainment of goals and objectives.  They are responsible for collaborating in the establishment of key departmental objectives, as well as, being responsible for development of plans and content for district manager training and motivational programs/communications.
 
This person is responsible to gather and provide information to KMC in response to information requests and to keep them updated on objective and action plan achievement progress.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

Develop Service strategies to improve dealership operations and achieve KMA goals relating to CSI, Service Retention, Parts & Accessory Sales, Training, and commercial dealer operations.  Strategy development is both for the current year and 5-year plan.  Also, consider future automotive trends and develop strategies and plans for innovation that ensure the Kia and Kia dealers remain in a competitive position.

Provide direction, oversight, motivation and management of regional, district and dealer operations with respect to ensuring effective implementation of programs and initiatives to achieve core field objectives.  Includes participating in regional field meetings, Service & Parts Club Meetings, helping to coordinate the annual National Field Meeting, etc.

Assist Head of Department in developing key department messages relative to priorities, accomplishments and future actions necessary to produce improved performance and accomplish goals.  Includes preparing power point presentations, video script writing, field/dealer letters, etc.

Provide direction and training to RPSM/DPSMs to improve their performance. 
 
Respond to requests for information from KMC on various topics


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent work with demonstrated skills required.

 Overall Related Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years corporate service operations experience with a domestic or import manufacturer or distributor.

 Directly Related Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in corporate and field service management.

  • Previous automotive retail experience is highly desirable.
