Job Description

SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, this position provides a broad range of human resources services in line with business objectives, strategic goals, and HR initiatives.  This position provides support to the Senior Manager, Human Resources on HR-related matters such as assisting managers and team members in understanding and applying HR tools in order to maximize team member performance, achieve organizational effectiveness, improve team member engagement, and ensure legal compliance.  This role will also include employee relations, recruitment, training, special projects, tactical day to day responsibilities assigned by the HR Business Partner.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY:

Human Resources Operations: 
  • Daily point of contact for employees and people managers related to HR policies, procedures and programs;
  • Support people managers through a wide variety of employee-related matters;
  • Interpret policies and procedures and applies judgment of application for the business;
  • Keep abreast of changes to policy, legislation and process;
  • Work closely with other HR and support teams to ensure that mechanisms exist to scale solutions;
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve processes for the HR team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Talent Management
  • Recruiting
Talent Management:
  • Be on point for annual talent review processes as well as communicating key information to all leaders across the org;
  • Provide training, guidance and an outlined process to managers on processes such as promotions and compensation analyses and support them through the performance life cycle;
  • Identify training needs and facilitate various HR trainings;
  • Conduct exit interviews; review and analyze attrition data, to identify opportunities to improve
  • Handles employee relations counseling.
  • Share information and act as a central resource for talent processes.
Recruiting:
  • Assist managers in recruiting; ensure formal completion of job descriptions, conduct reference checks, coordinate offers to the most qualified candidates
  • Work with hiring managers to ensure job requirements and expectations are clearly understood and candidates are assessed against appropriate criteria
  • Source, screen, interview, hire, collect appropriate new hire documentation and process new hire paperwork
  • Coordinate training for new hires
JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
Overall Related Experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience as a Human Resources Generalist (must have experience in the HR role as a generalist, recruiter, and/or in the employee relations capacity)
  • Knowledge of both California and Federal Labor Laws, understanding of Human Resources related laws and regulations such as EEO, ADA, FLSA, etc.
  • Knowledge of multi-Human Resources discipline required
