Job Description

SUMMARY 
Under the direction of the Manager and the Director of Pricing and Residual Value, this role is  responsible for assisting with residual value analysis, creating concepts, strategies, and recommendations and reporting for all current and future products in coordination with KMC and KMA Residual Value Committee and with related vehicle planners.  The position is to ensure residual value targets account for competitive market actions, along with KMA sales and profit targets.   This includes coordinating the development and maintenance of competitive information, internal and external trends analysis.  The Residual Value duties also include maintaining a professional business relationship with clear communication channels to the external independent organizations that direct industry residual values.
 
In addition this position will support short and long-range product and product strategies, vehicle packaging, mix analysis and mix optimization, specific product recommendations and color & trim recommendations for current and future Sedona.   This requires coordination and agreement among multiple internal and external KMA departments, KMC and KMC subsidiary units.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY
  • Assist with the development and presenting new model residual benchmarks, strategies optimizing price, content and volumes to achieve residual targets.  Track, analyze and report residuals and all inputs including auction values, pricing, content, volume, sales mix, incentives, and fleet.   
  • Manage vehicle planning for current and future Sedona, including packaging, mix management, and pricing support. Coordinates with KMC, research trends and external resources as necessary.  
  • Coordinate residual strategies and targets with HMG corporate planning.   Provide analysis and demonstrate new vehicles from concept to road testing with the support of the Product Planner and HMG.
  • Support analysis for market-based long –range price, volume and trim recommendations. 
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
Overall Related Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience in automotive product planning, marketing research, engineering or related field required.
Directly Related Experience:
  • Automotive enthusiast with industry, consumer, and technical knowledge and abilities.
  • Extensive experience in development of presentation papers.
  • Previous program experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Negotiation and presentations.
SKILLS 
  • Analytical/mathematical skills critical.
  • Excellent PC skills:  (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Mtab, Adobe, POLK, JATO beneficial).
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Program coordination experience.
  • Written and oral presentations.
  • Teamwork.
