Job Description

SUMMARY
 
Administer the daily operation of specific functions related to KMA department vehicle programs in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.  Develop analytical tools to monitor and track department vehicle inventories at all levels; make recommendations to reduce overall operating costs; and recommend corrective actions in order to achieve greater levels efficiency.  Provide support for departments in regard to vehicle-related activities. Negotiate between departments, Regions, and Finance for vehicle disposal plan of actions.  

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prototype Vehicle Management – Work directly with departments on all stages of prototype vehicles from Finance approvals, vehicle arrival, and thru vehicle disposal. Work closely with Department Managers, Finance, and IT to develop programs to enhance prototype processes for tracking. 
  • Administer Distributor Plates – Track all distributor plate inventories following all company and state requirements. Accurately account for all plates and their usage at all times. 
  • Facilitate Borrowed Vehicle Programs – Working closely with Finance review all borrowed vehicle agreements both internal and for Non-KMA entities. Ensure full execution of all contracts in a timely manner prior to vehicle release. Work hand in hand with departments to make sure all company policies are followed.
  • Manage Department Vehicle Life Cycles – For all departments within KMA, be the first point of contact for production vehicle ordering.  Work with departments and regions to identify vehicles for KMA programs and facilitate the ordering and disposal of vehicles when usage is completed.  Review and develop logical and cost efficient disposal plans prior to end of vehicle programs to minimize financial loss.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
 
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is required
 Overall Related Experience:
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of direct administration of corporate fleet vehicle activities including vehicle allocation, inventory control, vehicle record keeping and knowledge of overall vehicle distribution operations is required including but not limited to knowledge of vehicle depreciation. 
Position Requirements:
  • Occasional travel may be required 
  • May need to work additional hours outside of normal business hours as required by the job, including weekends or holidays
  • Perform other duties as assigned                           

SKILLS
  • Advanced organizational and planning skills
  • Advanced quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Strong PC skills including Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint preferred experience
  • Ability to work independently using critical thinking to review situations and provide logic solutions. 
  • Adaptive customer service skill
  • Experience with SAP and query reporting
