Job Description

SUMMARY
This position is responsible for providing warranty systems support to the field & dealer, warranty system maintenance, modifications, and analytical reporting of warranty claims, processes, and activity for management & governmental agencies.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

  • Warranty Systems Support: Warranty system administrator to the Warranty department, the field, dealers, and various corporate users of warranty systems (i.e. WebDCS, AS400, PWA|PAS System, LTS, DMRS, etc.) by validating and addressing concerns identified.

  • Warranty Systems Maintenance: Monitor warranty systems for deficiencies, required corrections and/or required maintenance to various existing warranty system programs in AS400, WebDCS, PWA|PAS System, WPRC, and other platforms.

  • Claim Data Reporting and Analysis: Analyze claims in all stages of the claims’ life (from claim entry, to the approval/denial of the claims’ payment) to identify opportunities to improve the warranty claim submission processes, and enhance warranty validation processes to minimize excessive or unnecessary warranty expense. Team member is also required to provide various regularly scheduled (monthly reporting of campaign escape on CPO and new retail vehicles, annual KMC emissions data request for CARB,) and ad-hoc reports (analytical data for trends and audit use) to department  managers.

  • Campaign Administration: Setup campaigns (Recall, Service Action, Product Improvement, etc.) in the AS400 system, to ensure valid and accurate claim submissions by dealers to maximize campaign expense recovery for KMA.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • A BS Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

Overall Related Experience:

  • Experience in monitoring and tracking multiple IT projects (from concept, to design, development, testing, and deployment)  simultaneously.

  • Automotive or distributor experience in warranty claims processing a plus.

Directly Related Experience:

  • Two years of experience in a product manufacturer or distributor environment, preferably automotive.

  • Utilization of data mapping, modeling, analytical software, and administrate IT projects (inclusive of concept, design, development, testing, and implementation).

  • Experience with AS400, SAP, MS SQL, MS Access or other equivalent database systems.                 

SKILLS

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Proficient in AS400 Query Language and IBM PC applications.

  • Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server queries & stored procedures.

  • Proficient in Siebel CRM.

  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills are required.

  • Well-organized, with ability to complete projects as assigned with limited supervision.

  • Minimum 50+ wpm typing skills.   

  • Analytical skills and big data experience a plus.
